Swedish Cooks

John sent me this:

Weddings in 21st Century

Just stumbled on this one:

Samuel L Jackson Hockey Coach Chelios

John sent me this:

Pretty funny. Reminds me of the post I did back in 2002 comparing European hockey to NHL hockey using Pulp Fiction script.

Update: ok thanks for Blogger I was able to find my old posts

I’ve been enjoying watching olympic hockey the last few days even when Canada got tumped by Sweden. Here is a little transcript adaptation from Pulp Fiction (my wife’s idea):

VINCENT
But you know what the funniest thing about
Internatial Hockey is?

JULES
What?

VINCENT
It’s the little differences. A
lotta the same shit we got here,
they got there, but there they’re a
little different.

JULES
Examples?

VINCENT
Well, in IH, you can make
make a two line pass. And I
don’t mean a little two lines pass.
I mean from your own end all the way
to the others blue line, In Sweden,
they have this thing called the Torpedo.
Also, you know what the width of a hockey rink is?

JULES
It is not 85 feet wide?

VINCENT
No, they got the metric system
there, they wouldn’t know what the
f*ck a feet is.

JULES
What is it then?

VINCENT
30 meters.

JULES
(repeating)
30 meters. What’s the
length?

VINCENT
The length is the same, but they call
it 60 meters.

JULES
What do they call a referee?

VINCENT
I dunno, I didn’t go into the penalty box.
But you know what they do in case of a tie in
international hockey?

JULES
What?

VINCENT
A shootout.

JULES
Goddamn!

VINCENT
I seen ‘em do it. And I don’t mean
a little bit on the side of the
rink, they fuckin’ drown ‘em in
it.

JULES
Uuccch!

Video of Our Trip Cannon Beach 2010

Since we got a new toy (Canon SX20 IS), we took some video and lot of pictures of your recent trip to Cannon Beach in Oregon.

Here is the resulting video:

Now I will credit the movie The Beach for the inspiration with using the song Porcelain from Moby for the video.

Cake Surfing

I made this video a long time ago (2001) from footage I captured when I visited North Carolina in 1995. There was a hurricane passing by the coast and the waves were huge. Actually most of the surfers only picked the smaller waves to surf on and let the big ones go by. Anyway I decided it was time to post this on YouTube for prosperity.
