August 7th 3 weeks post surgery

It has been approximately 3 weeks since Dominique’s surgery and with each passing day she continues to heal.  She is truly focused on learning to walk on her own these days,  now that she has energy to expend.  Every day she seems to be sprouting new hair on her body and her look is continually changing.  I am really enjoying spending time with her these days as things are getting back to normal.  It feels good to be able to go into public places without worrying about germs & infections.  It is incredible to let her crawl around freely in her diaper without her central chest line.  Speaking of which- it is even more incredible to simply just bath her and put her to bed without the daily tedious central line duties.  Life is looking good these days.  Here are some photos taken on the day of her surgery:
