Back in 2002, when Dominique was just 10 months old, just by pure luck, we found out she had a tumour in her chest about the size of a grapefruit. Needless to say, for the next few weeks and months our lives were turned up side down as we had to make hospital visits after hospital visits for Dominique’s numerous treatments. Throughout this ordeal, as a way to help us express our feelings and also allow our family and friends to keep up to date on the latest, Kim maintained a journal (blog) of all the days during that ordeal. As you will see, our little Dominique endured quite a bit. The scary thing is that it is maybe 1/10th of what some of the other kids we have met had to go through. We are fortunate to say that after 17 years, Dominique is still doing well and in remission. Just a few hospital visits here and there to make sure all is good. The journal was written using CityDesk which was an early blogging tool which no longer exists and was hosted on Telus and I have a feeling the days of that hosting are numbered, I have decided to “migrate” the journal here. I say migrate as I actually don’t have the credentials for the old site and I somewhat dread calling Telus to sort that out since the account used for that site as long been closed so I actually can’t remove it. 🙂 Anyway, here is the journal in WordPress form.
